Free Community Presentation on Chronic Pain - How to Live Well with Chronic Pain - 30th August 2018

Presented by Henrietta Chang, Naturopath and Kate Greenaway, Physiotherapist

Henrietta and Kate as a dynamic duo, ran a series of three presentations for the community with the third one on Stress. With the understanding that conditions of chronic pain and inflammation are very common in our society with numerous people being affected in their day to day living, sometimes unable to perform simple tasks (such as driving, showering or going to the toilet) and often feeling very debilitated by the experience, this too was a pertinent topic to present on. Henrietta and Kate presented with much understanding and a fresh approach that there is a way to live, eat and move to support ourselves with chronic pain. This presentation again shared lived experiences, wisdom and understandings of how living well with chronic pain is indeed possible.

Free Community Presentation on Stress - How to Live, Eat and Move to De-Stress - 23rd August 2018

Presented by: Henrietta Chang, Naturopath and Kate Greenaway, Physiotherapist

Henrietta Chang from L’Alchimiste Natural Medicine Clinic in conjunction with Kate Greenaway ran a series of three presentations for the community with the second one on Stress. With the understanding that stress is a common affliction in our society and very few people can say that they experience life as stress-free, and that we often feel that it is our jobs that are stressful, or that our relationships are stressful or that life simply is stressful and that stress can be found in all areas of our life and it can seem impossible to escape - this too was indeed a hot topic to present on. Henrietta and Kate presented that ‘what if life is not meant to be stress-free?’, but that it is about how we respond to stress that really matters, asking the questions  ‘Could there be a way that allows us to handle stress in a way that makes stress our friend rather than our foe? Could there be a way to move, eat and live that de-stresses us?’. The presentation shared powerfully from lived experiences, wisdom and understandings of how to live to de-stress.

Presented by: Henrietta Chang, Naturopath and Kate Greenaway, Physiotherapist

Henrietta Chang from L’Alchimiste Natural Medicine Clinic in conjunction with Kate Greenaway ran a series of three presentations for the community with the first one on Fatigue and Exhaustion. With the understanding that fatigue and exhaustion is in epidemic proportions in our society, that people show up exhausted to work and school and everyday life can become a struggle to keep up with, affecting work productivity and quality of relationships and quality of life, this was indeed a hot topic to present on. Henrietta and Kate presented that whilst most people at best have coping mechanisms in place to try to recharge themselves, as a society, we seem to have missed the whole picture when it comes to consistently and thoroughly replenishing our energy levels and keeping them at our natural maximum. Kate and Henrietta discussed what actually feeds our battery pack and explored that there could be a way to move, eat and live that returns us to our natural innate vitality.

This presentation shared lived experiences, wisdom and understandings of how to return to your own natural energy and vitality.
