About the event

Natural and Complementary Approaches and Considerations when  Supporting People with Mental Wellness.

A webinar presented by Henrietta Chang, Naturopath and Counsellor

If you have a family member or friend struggling with a mental health or with learning or behavioural challenges, or if you are working as a counsellor or alike profession, this presentation can be valuable by offering simple approaches and considerations. Hence this webinar is open to everyone, not just those within the counselling professions.

Henrietta brings her wisdom of the body and her naturopathic approach to understanding that some symptoms and behaviours as presented in counselling sessions, can also have their cause stem from reasons other than what might first be assumed within the counselling professions. In this presentation, Henrietta shares some of her clinical experiences in supporting people who have presented in clinic with various mental health struggles or with learning or behavioural challenges. She shares some key practicalities and offers some simple approaches and considerations:

· Can people struggling with mental health and/or behavioural challenges be supported naturopathically and in complementary ways?

· Can food be medicine for our mental health and well-being?

· Can supplements support physical health as well as mental health and behavioural balance?

· And is it possible that there are co-occurring diseases or chemical imbalances that mimic some mental health disorders, or contribute to learning or behavioural challenges? And if so, how does each contribute to the overall clinical picture? And how can these be explored and understood so that our family members, friends or clients can be supported comprehensively?

When: Saturday 27th April 2024

Time: 8:30 am- 10 am (1.5 hours in total – presentation followed by Q&A at the end)
