About the event
Presented by Henrietta Chang and Kate Greenaway
This chronic pain support group was established as a results of the ‘Living Well with Chronic Pain’ short course presented via the College of Universal Medicine (CoUM) Henrietta Chang and Kate Greenaway in September 2018. Following this course, Kate and Henrietta were inspired to start a regular Chronic Pain Support Group, running the group sessions 1-2 times per month for 13 months. This was designed to assist people with chronic pain (and/or their carers) and provide the space for them to gain a deeper understanding of their chronic pain and how to manage their condition whilst still living well with chronic pain.
The groups involved discussion of topics relating to chronic pain as well as the practice of gentle connective tissue exercises combined with nutrition information to support decreasing the impact of chronic pain.
The Chronic Pain support Groups started in September 2018 and ran successfully over a period of 13 months coming to a completion in October 2019.
